Terms of Use

Last updated 1 September 2026

These terms cover both this website and your visit to the property it describes. By using the site or entering the property, you accept them.

Access to the property

Silver Sands Beach & Park is privately owned land made freely available to the public. Access is a courtesy extended by the landowner, not a public right of way, and it may be restricted or withdrawn at any time without notice.

Enter at your own risk

The property is not commercially maintained. There are no lifeguards, no washrooms, and no facilities of any kind. Terrain is uneven, surfaces can be slippery, water conditions change quickly, and there is no supervision of any activity here.

All visitors enter at their own risk and assume full responsibility for their own safety and the safety of anyone in their care, including children and animals. The landowner accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from a visit.

Conduct on the property

Please follow the guidance on Rules & Leave No Trace, stay on marked trails, keep dogs leashed, use the garbage cans provided and keep the lids on, and check current provincial burn restrictions before lighting a fire. Respect the land, the wildlife, and other visitors.

Accuracy of information

We work to keep this site accurate, including the measured distances and terrain descriptions, but it is provided for general guidance only. Distances and grades were measured from mapping elevation data and are not a surveyed accessibility assessment. Conditions on the ground change with weather, tide, and season. You are the best judge of what you can safely manage, and nothing on this site is a recommendation that any particular route is suitable for you.
